TIPS for Replacing your Sliding Door Roller
– The Roller assembly is located behind the sliding door.
– The rail cover houses the sliding door roller assembly.
– In order to remove the rail cover, the tail light assembly must be removed first.
– Press the door OPEN button and turn door switch OFF from control panel (left of steering wheel).
– Remove screws on small body panel which covers the cables and pull off body panel cover.
– The rail/body panel slides back about 2 inches and then pulls off exposing the cables.
– To mark alignment, use a felt pen to trace around where the roller assembly mounts to the inside of the door.
– Remove or at least pull back the interior side panel slightly (located between sliding door and trunk).
– This is necessary in order to loosen the door drive cable inside the car enough to remove the cables from the rollers.
– Unhook the cables and remove old roller. Install new sliding door roller.
